The Need for EmbeddEd
EmbeddEd was created by educators for educators. EmbeddEd is designed to meet assessment standards and improve instruction within a developmentally appropriate model for education. When student learning is not interrupting, students are able to dive deeper into explorations and make the true extent of their knowledge shown.
EmbeddEd was founded by a teacher-researcher and University of Toronto Doctorate of Education student who is passionate about best practices for play-based education and assessment. While pedagogical documentation is becoming increasingly popular, many educators are overwhelmed with the magnitude of visual data collected and the lack of systematic organization in place. Through integrated curriculum and data analysis, EmbeddEd offers a solution by organizing pedagogical documentation in real time to allow for usable assessment data.
Currently at EmbeddEd
- EmbeddEd has developed an MVP (Minimal Viable Product) that is being tested in classrooms in British Columbia, Canada. Educator feedback is allowing EmbeddEd to grow in its current research and development phase to lead to an eventual nation-wide launch.
